For those who have their own car but would still like to travel on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway as well as the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, this is the package for you. In the morning you will drive to Skyrail and park your car (large free outdoor carpark).  A shuttle bus will then transfer you to Freshwater Connection Station to board the Kuranda Scenic Train.  You will travel up to Kuranda via the train, where you have free time to explore the quaint village.  Departing Kuranda via the Skyrail for the journey back down the mountain.  Disembarking the Skyrail where you pre-parked your car in the morning.

Your journey starts with a scenic drive to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Enjoy a scenic journey on the Skyrail Cableway, free time in Kuranda before catching the Scenic Rail. This self drive tour starts and finishes at Smithfield Skyrail Terminal.

We recommend allowing 2.5-3 hours of free time in Kuranda Village so you can wander at a relaxed pace through the markets and grab some lunch at a local cafe, or visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, Birdworld and Koala Gardens.
